Julius Mih

Julius Mih is a highly accomplished and dedicated senior educational professional, widely recognized for his expertise in education policy formulation and implementation. His career in education spans over three decades, starting as an educator, where he worked diligently to empower and inspire teacher-trainers. Seeing the need for systemic change, he transitioned into policymaking, with the goal of transforming education at the national level. Julius has held several influential positions in the government, including serving as the Director of Bilingualism at the Ministry of Basic Education. In this role, he led the development and implementation of innovative policies aimed at improving access to quality education, promoting inclusive practices, and supporting lifelong learning. Additionally, he has worked as a project coordinator on multiple World Bank and UNESCO projects with the Government of Cameroon, focusing on curriculum design and implementation, textbook policy, capacity building, and developing partnerships with non-state actors.

 

Julius Mih holds a Master’s degree in educational sciences, a Master of Research in Applied Linguistics. He has thirty-one years of experience working as a qualified teacher-trainer and educational administrator, having completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary). He is also in the final stages of his PhD studies. He belongs to a number of continental professional organisations including the African Curriculum Association (ACA) and the African Federation for Teaching Regulatory Authorities (AFTRA) where he holds executive positions. Julius has received the Cameroon Knight of Academic Honours for his outstanding contributions in the field of education in his country.
